The District Awards and Recognition Night 2009/2010

Every year we gather around to celebrate. Not to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries, but to celebrate efforts and hard work. This year, The District Awards and Recognition Night for the Rotary Year of 2009/2010 was held last 26th of June 2010.
It was held in Holiday Villa, Ampang. This event bore the significance of recognising projects and people who have worked hard, having to have their efforts acknowledged with a status of excellence.
The 4th District Board Meeting was held simultaneously, and later afterwards, dinner was served for Rotaractors who have attended the event.
District Governor Leslie Salehuddin, had the honour to inaugurate the long awaited awards ceremony.

Among all submitted projects for awards and recognition, Rotaract Club of ATC had been successful being awarded the Best Membership Award. We have also been honoured the Presidential Citation and DRR’s Citation. It is quite an achievement as only 5 clubs in the district was awarded the DRR’s citation.
It is especially meaningful to Rotaract Club of ATC as the club has a much shorter term compared other clubs. Being able to meet with the strict criteria for DRR’s Citation is something to be proud of.

However so, this will not stop us from achieving and striving for more as the District Awards and Recognition Night has served it’s purpose to encourage our fellow Rotaractors in line with our services to the society. Hopefully, this term, the Rotaract Club of ATC will achieve more awards to live up to it’s predecessor’s accomplishments.
